I got a crazy late night idea that kept me up later than normal. I made two of these hats for preschool, in honor or Dr. Suess' b-day. I found an easy tutorial...you can check it out here.
Here is the March wall hanging above my piano. I really wanted to make a patchwork shamrock but had no idea really how to make it all work out. Then I saw a heart piecing tutorial here and that started the ball rolling. there is a little bit of applique on the stem, the four leaf clover, and the words but the rest is all pieced. An original!! I was sure proud of myself, even though after I started quilting I had to unpick two boarder rows because I didn't sew it together right, making such a fun project.
